Various tomatoes and mozzarella salad

Tomato and mozzarella – a classic duet, perfectly revealing of each other taste qualities. Such a combination is perfect for a light summer dinner. But everything is not so predictable as it may seem at a first glance – the talented chef Gaspar Fernandes offers to prepare this salad with various types of tomatoes. This will not only help you to appreciate the variety of tomatoes tastes but also the colors in the plate will pamper your eyes!

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 2-3 “Kietaviškių“ yellow plum tomatoes;
  • 2-3 “Kietaviškių” black tomatoes;
  • 16 “Kietaviškių” cherry tomatoes;
  • 150g of buffalo mozzarella;
  • ½ of “Kietaviškių” raspberry tomato;
  • A pinch of cumin;
  • Salt and pepper;
  • Basil leaves to garnish;


  • 5 table spoons of olive oil;
  • ½ of “Kietaviškių” raspberry tomato;
  • 3 spoons of balsamic vinegar.


  1. For the tomato salad dressing cut the large tomato in half and squeeze the juice of one-half in a bowl, along with olive oil, salt, pepper and mix it well;
  2. Slice all of the tomatoes, place them in a bowl, add few spoons of a salad dressing and mix it well;
  3. Arrange it on a plate with pieces of buffalo mozzarella, few basil leaves, and an extra twist of sea salt, pepper, and a pinch of cumin.
